Dear Professor Hall,
I received your letter of July 6, 1973. Immediately after this
I received a call from the American Embassy in Moscow stating that you
agree with the proposed date. In addition, you expressed the desire to

laboratories of the Institutes of Chemical Physics and Organic
Chemistry (possibly also Moscow University), lectures by American
scientists, signing of final document.
I propose the following format for conducting our meeting in
Moscow. Each participant of the meeting (7-8 persons from the USSR
and 5 persons from the USA) on the first two days (Aug. 27-28) will
give a 20-30 minute report on the direction of his work in which he
intends to conduct joint work with the other side. Each participant
will have the opportunity for asking questions and discussion. The
next two days (Aug. 29-30) - visits to Moscow laboratories, lectures
and preparation of working document; the last day (Aug. 31, possibly
Sept. 1) - discussion of final document and its signing.
. With best wishes,
Sincerely yours,
