I don't have anything else. #66: All right, I want you to review once again the imagery that you had, especially the exterior of the building and its loca- tion ...ah...in relationship to it's surroundings and when you are ready 1 want you to draw those perceptions that you had. #01: Okay. This is page one. I'm going to try and work this from the outside - in I think and start by doing an overview and work my way inside. #66: All right. #01: This building, street=wise, I got a feeling like there was these It's either a lab or a ho thing where ].e nd this big lab type building or whatever it was z here. residential streets going like this...the wider ones going f t a ?werrea-gcux to t bottom. en back here about mi. -way, like two which this building lay...back h or three blocks away, mid-way between streets was the area in I e eeling like reets were canted off of north, ou know, like if that as north the streets were kind of turned a 45 degree angle from true north, you know, instead ,fLba - v u_?might ext et r streets goi:r y rwrth and south, east and west. I feel like the entrance was at the bottom of the page and sort of did this sort of thing. Like a wing with a blunt nose and a formal covering that came out like that with a covering that came back here... There was a large awning area over here, flat roofed, this was a...like a turn around area. Parking area. With a park- ing area over here in the back. This sort of thing. And this was the entrance down here and this paved area had an access back here, it was like a small alley type of road that went like this, and it was like a, a...access road that came in like that from the alley. And then there was a.... was a wall that went down, down this way, a very tall wall like concrete wall, gate back here to get in, and a...then the wall went also like this, trying to figure out how this inter- locked....... and angled off this way...and that this was all trees out here and garden. This...this is all garden...and trees. And this part down here had a very large hedge that went away on both sides. It had a very private and secluded type feeling to it, this being a gate, and then this building page three, looking at this building sort of like from the direction of the arrow on page two that I will draw, like from the...the gateway, we'll call that view, on page two. Looking at it from that view I got a feeling like it was also, like it was a hill in there. Hill type of effect, this being three floors. Ah...let's see...and this driveway went up here like this, and this parking area was like up on a raised portion. Came down here like this...and went out, this was a turn circle like area here, and then the-this grassy thing kind of went up like this, and there was...this walkway went sort of like this, and this is a covered walkway. This I'm going to have to do a little better job on when I get through, because it doesn't make a lot of sense, unless it's done exactly right. And then the other wing of the build- ing which you can't see went back that way like that. Then another driveway, like that. And there was actually three floors to this building, and there was an exterior, some kind of a...some kind of a exterior box shape on the rear of it, it had a low retainer wall on each floor and a support columns, sort of like that, with a roof, and, ah..... some kind of stairs interconnecting it, they went like this, ah...went down like that and then down like that. Oh yeah, it didn't go all of the way down to the bottom because down here there was just a wall that was up under the overhang of the building, and a door in the wall, like a servant's en- trance or something like that and these were all trees up here. Oh, and the design on th i still, in was like this in two places on the face of eac side of the bui was this lattice work design in conc e. And the reason why it tood out so well is there is a~L was a, like a hollow e-f-feet-' 6 this building Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : Qdi - RP - 0 X000250001-4 #01: back here like this, as if there were some very small ledges built into the design of the building. That type of effect so that the, ah...the windows were back away from this lat- tice work design T , e weren't a lot of rooms on each floor, th ere onl like four or five rooms on each floor but all of he oms were identical, something a little more than hote rooms, you know, more like efficiency like apartments And that t., it- looked _like. __..- Page four. As you look at the building, comes in two wings, second floor, there is a...like a, ah...an opening here that's 1gl s, and there is a, ah...stairs going up and stairs going wn. There is a small hallway on each side. I felt like these first five rooms right here, or six rooms were occupi V #66: I understand that you are saying that there all together. #01: Yeah, and they are all grouped on the second floor on the wirtg closest to the entrance way. #66: All right. #01: And, ah...I'm going to have to change that a little bit 'cause I felt like they were occupying that entire wing, so there is no more than six rooms to a wing on each floor, and, ah... this end over here, I got the feeling where this overhang was, was probably a kitchen or something, a lounge area and a kit- chen and everything. I can even draw a picture of that because that might be very visible from the other side, which would be more of a surreptitious area. Side...I got a feeling like looking at that wing the building looked the same as from the other direction, difference being that the ground actually came out right like this, and there was this porch like area that came out. Like that. And this was all glass doors, and this had an awning type thing coming out...coming out like this. Not exactly at that angle...well ...more at an angle like that. That being the top of the wall, into a gate, with the driveway that went in the back. It's like a patio. And that's really about it, I guess. #66: Okay. Can you indicate on the appropriate drawings the rooms where the hostages were and the guards positions that you per- ceived? #01: Oh, okay. Ah...going back to page four. The "X"s are where the hostages were we'll put an "X" in the center of each of the rooms the hostages were in, and I perceived a "G", I'll use "G" for guard. Guard on the outside stairs, guard here, guard here, and there were a lot of people down on the ground floor, and there was only one guard, we will put him on number Approved For Release 2000/08/07f't3l RVR96pM8 8001000250001-4 i #01: three (page), and he was like in the front by the front door. The guard being here. Wherever there is a "G" there is a guard. There just seemed to be a lot of people milling around downstairs. #66: Okay, and you thought that one of the guards was armed, you said. #01: The guy...they were all armed. Except downstairs front, there was the only one armed was the guard by the door. The rest of the people could have been guards but they were just milling around. #66: What you're saying is that all of the "G" personnel did have weapons, and that there were other people downstairs milling around..... #01: Right... Right..... #66: Which you did not perceive to have weapons. And they Were not hostage personnel, I assume. #01: No. I feel like this is some kind of a...it...I keep wanting to call it a motel, but that's not what it is. #66: Okay. #01: So it...you know...it's like a...ah...some kind of a specialized place. That's used as a motel, but it is not a motel. don 't know what it is. #66: Okay. #01: But I felt like it was in a very classy residential area...... #66: Now did you get a..... #01: That was a diplomatic residential area before. ##66: Okay. Did you get any feeling about these six hostages that you, ah...perceived?
