RE MOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CCC12
1. (S) This report documents a Remote Viewing (RV) session
conducted in compliance with a request from SOD, J3, OJCS, Pentagon,
Washington, D.C. The purpose of the session was to provide informa-
tion relevant to the hostage situation in the U.S. Embassy compound
in Teheran, Iran.
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are provided
as raw intelligence data and as such have not been subjected to any
intermediate analysis, evaluation or collation. Interpretation and
use of the information provided is the responsibility of the requestor.
3. (5) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the
document Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol
(S), Undated.
4. (5) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during
the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote
viewer reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target
cuing information provided the remote viewer.
5. (S) The remote viewer was asked to locate and describe the
surroundings of Jn6e?h Hal The viewer did not describe any other
dividuals on tT~e compound during this session. The remote viewe /r~
was then moved forward in time to 22 March 1980. ~

5 March 1980. The on-target time is 1400 hours.
All right #07 the time is now 1400 hours. Your
mission for today is to locate Joseph Hall, Joseph Hall.
I want you to locate him and describe his surroundings.
Relax, relax, focus your attention on Joseph Hall.
+08 #07 Ummm...I think I got a guy. There's some guy, there's
some guy sitting here, s-s-s-slouched down in a chair.
I H-head slumped forward. Shorts..uh..sitting in...
I sitting... sitting in shorts. Left knee, left knee
..uh..looks like elastic bandage left knee. Oh..
+10 kind 'o, kind 'o unkept. Needs, needs shave. Can't,
can't see, can't see the dimple in his chin. Uh, uh,
I think this is him.
#14 Describe his surroundings now.
#07 I se...that very gentleman..uh..vague. I keep seeing
him head on and over his left shoulder. I, I don't
know if it's..uh..I can't ...uh...oh, dam. I was..uh..
I was..uh..looking for somebody else.. .see if he's,

important but I, I saw a big block letter..uh..big
block letter "E". I don't know if that's the shape
of the building or a designated..uh..I don't even
know if it's significant. I feel nauseous.
I, I, I, I lost him. I..uh..I saw a, a number 3
about the time I saw that "S" shape. This guy's not
in such a good shape. This guy's.. .looks like...
I don't know whether he's asleep or what the hell

But, that,that!does~surpr.ise me. I can't figure out
what he's...why he's sitting here.

Stacks, stacks, stacks of papers associated with this
guy. I saw him at another point in time with...all
the fingers of his right hand separating lots of
sheets of paper.
He seems...it seems as...he's, he's very intelligent
individual, but he apparently let his imagination run
+22 wild with negative speculation based on his knowledge
f some situation. I'm trying to figure out if he
just fell asleep in this position or whether he find
it necessary to sleep in this position for some reason.
I, I don't, I don't know why...I get a sudden flash
..uh..awareness. Apparently... .1 don't know. I thought
he was associated with, with..uh..with some kind of
code or something. Maybe crypto. I, I feel very
+25 badly for this individual, an , I think it's
Hall, but he, he looks thinner than I, looks thinner
than I thought he would, but his legs look stocky an
powerful for a man of his stature.
Now, I have a feeling at this moment that he is alone
in this space.

#07 Yes, for some reason I feel unusually upset when I'm
around this individual. I've tried to figure out why.

zero response. I, I, feel he needs to talk to
someone. He seems very depressed and negative. It,
it's, it's so dim in here. I, I'm not even sure where
I'm looking.
#14 I want you now to move outside this room; outside this
building. I want you to take up an aerial perspective
and describe this building. Tell me about its location.
#07 I can only see part of the building, but it appears
similar to one I think I've seen before. It looks
like..uh..looks like it's long. A couple stories hig
with a parapit, slight parapit on the top. This
surprised me because I felt I might be in the small
private dwelling type structure. I, I feel ........ I

#14 Is this building on the U.S. Embassy compound?

#07 I, I think so. It looks similar to one that I think
I saw in the vicinity before. For some reason, I, I
keep looking at the top floor....right front corner,
if I were standing facing the building from the outside.

going to move you forward in time Relax, focus your
-attention on 11 a.m. on Iranian time, 22 March 1980 .

you to describe generally the activity taking place

but, it's between the two big, big buildings. I
then saw hands, many hands, holding what appeared to
be a rope. I immediately thought these people were

I just saw many, many human hands holding a rope
which, I think is vertical position.
I, I would like to see alot of commotion, but I
+42 don't see it. I just saw golden head and spread
shoulders of an eagle. Must be, it must be overlay.

the group. I'm confused. I can't tell whether the
line of people is friendly or hostile. There's
something back over there ..ought to be interested
in.
I saw some kind of strange oval tubes. Look around
where I..would expect to see commotion for some reason.

as far as I could see. They seem to glow white. I
felt they were friendly, but I don't know what it mean

this individual when you first saw him as being in a
slouched sitting position, head slumped forward, and
described him sitting in his shorts with something on

reproduction machine. For office copy it's fine,

It really doesn't matter how crude the drawing is.
Is there anything you can remember about the room
and its surroundings, or.....
#07 Over his shoulder behind him there was a, I..uh..
(mumbling) should be night but there was light coming
through the window. And, I remember thinking this
window was barred. I think you said something..
(mumbling) and I remember looking back and thinking
the walls were thick and trying to remember what it
was I was going to check out that I.... but I think
it might have been the..uh..felt one of his legs...
I think his left was..uh..was..uh..bandaged. Elastic
bandage or something. But, just the way he was
sitting, head down, slouched, stomach protruding.
Either tremendous exhaustion or depression. I, I
just don't know. I made no attempt to draw the man.
Just the feeling of the way he was slouched. His
legs are too long.

distance .....recognized enough of it to...I thought
that it was one of the long buildings.

out where you felt where this building was.

You know I'd say that the roof isn't..uh..the way I
drew it, but I don't think it was in this position here.
The roof was more like what this looks like. The
oh, there is a, there is a, the end of that building
does stick up like a peripit, but I...(mumbling) to the
shadow.But...it looked like this right ..... see the
center portion here, it looked like that. You know.
That's got a, you know a wall extending up from

I saw just a corner of it. It could have been a corner
here,it could have been a corner there (mumbling) but
I felt I was over in this area somewhere. Where in the
devil....let me see. Yeah, ok.

building identified as building, buildi g A and then
of course you mentioned symbolic letter and the
number 3. You did say that he was alone and that yo
didn't have no impression of others in the area.

think. I don't know what the heck it meant, but,

those dam trees there, but I thought it was about this
far down along in here.

down a rope. All I could see when I got back to it
were just the hands gripping the rope as though it

day eyeballs open type of imagery, which was what
I was looking for. Uh...there was something else
though.

#07 Oh, yeah. Just oval shaped tubes. I could see about
a foot of the end of them and I didn't know.. .foot
...that irrelative...I could see the length. It was
about the diameter of this oval, and I don't know.
I assumed they were about a foot. I don't know how
big they were. But, I thought there was something
coming out of them. And I had the feeling that...
this was making everybody calm, and I felt almost
passive, and that's, that's the feeling I almost
never feel is passive, but I felt passive. Uh...
as, as though something were being done to me, and
I looked around and I found everybody seemed the
same way, and I didn't know what to make of that.
I thought maybe I was halluscinating. I don't know.
It...uh...was a very, very weird...the whole thing
was, I think different than most of my sessions.

I thought it had something to do with the building
over .... and it was near the other building.

#07 Oh, yes. I saw two, two different personalities
betWeen the individuals I took to be Hall in two
different points in time. I felt the individual I
saw in a room was rather depressed, and upset. I
couldn't make up my mind whether it was feeling of
hopelessness or fear or just what, but then the
individual for which I thought was Hall later on the
twentieth something of March.

what direction it is relative to the compass, and
just clean off into infinity. Uh, and...the way
quiet, soft glowing I felt that it was some kind of
symbolic overlay of some kind. I have no idea if
it meant anything...uh...I couldn't make anything
out of it. I tried to shake it, and get rid of it
as noise, and it just wouldn't go...uh...just sit
there, and kind 'o...just pulsated. You know. I
thought well I'd better dump it, and...though I
felt embarrassed doing so.

1. (S) The viewer has been exposed to open source news media
information as well as classified overhead imagery. He knew he
would be working against the hostage situation in Iran.
2, (S) At the time of the session,. the viewer was told that he
was to locate Joseph Hall. The viewer was shown the attached
photographs and asked to locate and describe the surroundings
of the individual in the photo.
