REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION
1. (S) This report documents a Remote Viewing (RV) session
conducted in compliance with a request from SOD, J3, OJCS,
Pentagon, Washington, D.C. The purpose of the session was
to provide information relevant to the hostage situation in
the U.S. Embassy compound in Teheran, Iran.
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are
provided as raw intelligence data and as such have not been
subjected to any intermediate analysis, evaluation or collation.
Interpretation and use of the information provided is the
responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the
document, Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing
Protocol'(S), undated.
4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions
during the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made
by the remote viewer reference his impressions of the target
site. At TAB B is target cueing information provided the
remote viewer.

It's a clean, it's neat..one window behind the bed.
One window on side wall. Looks somewhat like a
clean hotel room.

I've shown you a picture of an individual. I want
you to focus your attention on that individual.
Project yourself to his location and describe your
surroundings and impression to me.
Table and chair, get the impression there's a mirror
on the wall. I say.it's a corner room. I think he's
on the third floor. He's..uh..he's dressed pretty
casually. Open white shirt, and a sweater or something.
I get the.... I get the impression of a telephone or
a..uh..like he's looking for some way to communicate.
In fact, seems to be biggest problem. Get the impression
he's angry, more angry than scared. I want to say he
hasn't seen anybody. It's predominant (mumbling) to
communicate through. What ever it means. Probably
a reporter, or something. (Mumbling) I think he's
trying ...

can tell his superiors... tell the States, I guess.
This guy's a tall man. Lie's 6 feet...tall. Get
the impression he's not buying the story. He's sticking
to his own convictions.

This is a pretty big building. It's maybe 4-5 story,
I think. I want to say, it's like ..... it's in a
busy area.... like downtown. OK. Slight overhang
on the first floor stories go up ...4 or 5 stories..
get the impression of sign, white background with
black lettering.

#08 First impression I got was like "crystal" but, it
doesn't make sense. Bottom floor's glass..(mumbling)
dining room. It's on a street, close to the sidewalk.
Seems to be on a little rise..seems..grassy rise...
impression is red brick ...red, dark brick, red, brown
brick. Outline is (mumbling) white brick. I don't
see any traffic. Activity but it's light. Should be
more. I get impression some of the top rooms have little
balconies like iron, iron, wrought balconies. Anything
else?

I want you to go back into the building to the location
where this individual is, and I want you to go out the
door and search around and tell me if you find any
others.
There's a bunch of rooms.In the next room, too. It's
not connected with them. It's not American. Next to
that is a woman, back here.
Oh.. .about 5 3, 5 4, black hair, late 20s early 30s.
I don't know. She looks..uh..she's dark complected.
I don't think she's American. She feels too free.
Anything else (mumbling) about her?
One question. Go back to the individual. Is he a
hostage?
Yes, and no. He's got some freedom, but is very
closely supervised. I don't see any guards. He's
(mumbling) free to do exactly what he wants. His main
concern is to establish a commo or something.

1114 Do you sense any other guards or hostages in this
building?
#08 No. Some.. .related to the activity, but-but it's
not there-this place they relax there. Kind of
relaxed not under pressure.
Is there anything else that you would like to add?
No. No.
Ok. Why don't we sit up and make some sketches.
At first I couldn't tell whether he was a hostage,
but he was very casually dressed. There was a .....
freedom... a certain amount of freedom that he
enjoyed. No guards. Where I picked him up was..uh
on the third floor ...what I thought was the third
floor-looked like a hotel room.. .and he had the
corner building ...... corner room ...I saw windows here,
with a bed. There was either....that's another thing...
there was plumbing, or access to plumbing, like showers
and stuff which seemed to (mumbling) out of place...
whatever it was.... sink or shower.... whatever .....
I want to call them bathing facilities but they were
.washing facilities. Sort of got the impression, there
was a mirror here and he had a table. Something like
that, and some furniture. I didn't pay attention to
the furniture. Water ..... this was a window. Here I
saw one, and another time I saw two. I don't know which
one is right. Next door to him, later on, there was
somebody in here. Definitely not American. I want to
say Iranian but I don't know. I don't know. Then
the lady that you asked me to describe was in the other
room, and she was definitely under no pressure. In fact,
I saw her with a black skirt, black sweater, and dark
hair, 5-2, 5-3, like she was having a good time and
there was no worry. But this guy, what I saw was very
strong anger.

and alien woman, if that is what your impression was.
#08 And, there were no guards. Like I say. He seems to
enjoy some liberty.... sort of telephone ..... communica-
tions .....back to his superiors... and then later on
when you pushed me on it I thought he was trying to get
a commo system established with the hostages, somehow.
But the commo link was all important to him. The
other thing I said was that he wasn't sharing or
spouting off or being sympathetic to (mumbling)... he

#08 is not.... he was very angry, and, I guess he has to
restrain himself. 11 not going to spout there.
Propaganda, so to speak, or that ..........convictions.
I got the impression that this was a.... this was a
face (mumbling)..... had a hard time making out the
(mumbling).... here four stories, maybe five .....there
could be another one here, but I.... but he was
some place here .... right around this corner building.
This went this way, and this window was like this.
There was an entry way...I saw kind of an overhang
over here... something like that. Just a slight
overhang. This was all brick... and around the windows
I saw something like a cement, a red, white cement
outline. The sign that I saw was something like this.
This may be exaggerated maybe it's not.It had a white
glass background, and...I can't tell...black lettering..
what I thought was crystal, I don't know...... the
word crystal as opposed to anything else. Like old
English lettering. Then you had your entrance here.
All of this portion ...... maybe that's what messed me
up ..... like the restaurant and bar, and lounge portion.
Reception area. Then this took place .....at first
I thought it was right close to the street and then I
got this perception that it was on a sort of a .........
grassy knoll, ok. And, somehow, it was higher than the
surrounding buildings. It should have been flat on the
ground, but it was somewhat higher and there was grass
here, and grass here, and a walk here, maybe. So that
this went down this way, this went down this way.
Yeah, this was...the entire thing was red/brown brick,
or something like that. That's all I can tell you.

#14 Anything else you can think of that you would like to
add?
No. It struck me that the accommodations were
comfortable. I wasn't expecting that. Then I started
looking for guards, and bars, like I normally do. I
couldn't find any. Then, the relaxed atmosphere of
the other people ...when you said go down and look for
..uh..the hostage I made about. . .you know ...I could
have kept on for another two or three hours, because there
were that many rooms. But, I could not get the feeling
if there was somebody else under pressure or whatever.
