1. These pages were prepared in the Management Staff 25X1A9a
under the supervision of the Management Officer,
during 1948 and 1949. The statistical collection
and analysis was\done by and the
graphics layout by MX1A9a

2. The total project included the statistical portrayal
of Agency activity for the exclusive use of the Director.
Those pages of pertinence to a particular organizational entity
were photostated and forwarded back for internal use. That
is what these pages represent.
3. It is impossible to judge the validity of the
statistics shown. As a member of the Management Staff at 25X1A9a
25X1A9a that time and sharing office space with and
I remember discussions on the elusiveness of
personnel statistics in a dynamic, growing organization
such as CIA then was, housing both vouchered and unvouchered
personnel. It can; be said that these were the best figures
then obtainable and in certain instances such as the T/O
figures, which were developed in the Management Staff, they
are wholly accurate. To the best of my recollection this
statistical summary project foundered in late 1949 or early 1950.
