SUBJECT : Additional Supergrade Positions for the Office of
the Deputy Director for Science and Technology
In reference to the attached memorandum dated 30
November 1966, I have a question concerning Paragraph 3, namely, the
evaluation of the Security Officer position. While there has been some
reduction in OSA activities, there has been a considerable increase in OSP
activities involving large-scale projects which pose a multiplicity of security
problems in operations and contractual activities. Perhaps the original write
up of the proposed position does not encompass go-ahead decisions arrived
at in recent months. I would simply like to be assured that the evaluation
was conducted on the current situation involving current and developing
responsibilities.
