Recruiting for CIA
Washington, DC
JAMIE BRAGG: Looking for an interesting job dealing
with high technology or international relations?
WTOP's Pam Coulter reports on one offering at a jobs
fair in Arlington sponsored by the Non-Commissioned Officers
Association.
PAM COULTER: Dressed in a dark blue business suit, he
could be a recruiter for IBM, Bendix, or MCI, but is a person-
nel officer for the Central Intelligence Agency.
There was a long line of military personnel and
retirees lined up at his table to find out what jobs are
available at the Company, and whether they might qualify.
Roger Andrews says the CIA is now a popular employment
prospect for both ex-military people and college students.
ROGER ANDREWS: I think in some cases the military is
very good training for the CIA, especially in logistics and
communications. The various military services have very good
communications schools that are very useful. The military
service also offers overseas experience and that seems to get
into what we're looking for as well.
COULTER: Like everybody else, the CIA is looking for
people with high technology expertise, computer experts, and
information specialists.

Andrews also says that they are looking for overseas
intelligence officers. De-code that and it sounds like spy.
