You may perhaps remember my father, who was in the
O.S.S. and knew you in World War II. He has always spoken of you
with enthusiasm and admiration. For a time after the War,
to work for the C. i.A. and am writing to. ask you the best way

I have been in solo practise in McLean and have
been very successful. However, I have always been patriotic and want to
serve my country. In this respect, private practise is not satisfying to me.
I am eager to do something more. I have considered joining the army, but I fete.
I 'would be more useful in the Agency.
I have a second career, as an author. I had a magazine column for eight
years and have written two successful popular. books, as well as scientific
articles for medical journals.
I would like to work for the Agency, and would be able to work abroad.
Since you are the Director-General of the C.I.A. I am taking the liberty
of writing to ask you.what, in your opinion, my next step should be.
