PRESENT: Mr, Dulles, Gen.-Cabell, Mr. Wisner, Col. White,
Messrs. Kirkpatrick, Helms, Bissell, Roosevelt,
Sheldon, Gen. Truscott, Mr.
Mr. Dulles:
a. Noted a cable from reporting that the
Supreme Soviet is holding a special meeting on 13 June and asked
Mr. Sheldon to determine whether we had any further information
on this.
b, Noted he had received a letter from
again expressing interest' in taking a trip
and asked if such a trip might be of value to the Agen
to prepare an acknowledgment and DD/P to furnish the
Director recommendations.

e. Referred to a speech by the Vice President on the Soviet
Union which appeared in the New York Times on 8 June and noted it
was one of the best pieces he had ever read, ACTION: Mr, Wisner
to obtain comments for DCI.
f. Noted he has talked to ho had reported 25X1
that the Soviets are attempting to take over the Orthodox Church
in the US. The Director said while this was not strictly CIA
busine it did have foreign intelligence implications and asked
Mr, to find out from the what they know about 25X1
this matter.
Mr. Wisner:
Reported that BBC had been broadcasting excerpts of
Khrushchev's speech before the 20th Party Congress to Russia,
in Russian, and these broadcasts had not been jammed.

Mr. Kirkpatrick:
a. Briefly reported on the activities of the Killian Committee
and noted that the Committee had chosen Greece as the country on
which to base its survey of intelligence reporting. The Director 25X1
said he hoped the Committee would select the time of the Greek
elections as the period on which to base this survey. Mr. Kirkpatrick25X1
said he thought this could be arranged.
c, Reported he had received a query from Bill King of the
Vic as to the extent of our contributions to

the past made m to contributions to this organization we had
taken the position that its activities were concerned with humani-
tarian and refugee problems and had therefore referred to ICA
requests for support.
