Central Intelligence Agency
SUBJECT: National Intelligence Daily
In response to the Director's letter of May 31, 1983,
and his subsequent telephone conversation with me, we
have begun taking steps to ensure National Security
Council Staff compliance with security requirements
pertaining to the National Intelligence Daily. The
Staff has been apprised. of ' their responsibilities in
this regard. Further, as you are aware, we are in the
process of reorganizing the NSC Staff,.and this re-
organization will help meet the Director?s requirements
by permitting stricter control of all intelligence
materials. Our point of contact on these matters is our
Director of Intelligence Programs, Kenneth E. deGraffenreid.
