There seems to be a certain chaos in the scheduling of etimates.
1. The one on Strategic Implications. of Soviet Position in Afghanistan
(discussed at NFIB yesterday) does not appear on schedule for next three months,
nor does the long promised project on Soviets in the TFird World.
2. Is there anything that can be scheduled for an NFIB between 6 October
and 18 October--maybe Soviet Energy marked for coordination 17 October or The
Aegean.
3. Soviet Wartime Management: The Role of Civil Defense (Draft In in
December) was read by me last weekend and seemed in quite good shape.
4. Can a push be put on to speed coordination of 11-12-83 and 11-11-83,
both long awaited and marked as in draft. I've read 11-12-83 and found it
quite good.
5. Political and Econ Pressures for Changes in Eastern Europe (Draft In
March 1983) should perhaps get another drafter--even the NIO--pending recovery
of the drafter.
