1. A. review of the RECD files on the Garage revealed the
following information:
a. A 1 May 1970 Security memo quoted the following:
22521 sq. ft. interior
2121 sq. ft. truck port (covered but no doors
24642 Total Net
b. On 5 May 1970 another Security memo reported apre-occupancy
report; i. e. , as a rectangular bldg. 116 x 210.
c. A. GSA. memo quoted the rental cost as $1.65 per sq. ft. for an
annual rent of $36, 000 for a net footage of 21, 760 sq. ft. interior plus 3240
sq. ft. covered loading area - a total of 25, 000 sq. ft.
2. On Monday, 16 Nov 70, the owner of the garage (Mr. Nasset) his
lawyer and a perspective buyer for the garage wanted to tour/inspect the bldg.
25X1A9a denied the "visitors" access to the garage. It was only after the
Hqs. Bldg. Security Chief authorized a limited "walk-thru" that 25X1A9a
allowed the visitors into the garage. On Saturday afternoon, l4 Nov 70, the
25X1 Aga guard reported to on the following Monday, that the owner was seen
taking snapshots of the garage from across the street. The garage is located on
a corner. Visitors to the garage are becoming an increasing headache to Mr. 25X1 Aga

3. On Wednesday, 18 Nov 70, while at the garage, I made arrangements with
to pick up two dumptruck
loads of sand from GSA/PBS storage pile. The Agency trucks use the sand for
weight on the snow plows and also sanding Hqs. internal roads. GSA./PBS uses the

tried to buy sand locally at $5 per ton. averaged 12 tons around

5. The latest CRAMS report listed as 18, 585 sq. ft.
net plus a small area for outside uncovered parking.
6. The present plans for the garage on the Hqs. site are 18, 500 sq. ft.
net plus 2 acres outside covered parking.
