THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
About 27 November 1950 the Tar East Enterprising Company, Universal
Development Company and Yun Tung Shipping Company, representing the
Chinese Communist commercial authorities in Hong Kong, organized the
Wah Dah Transport Company to do all their packing and stevedoring in
Hong Kong for the purpose of reducing to a minimum the publicity on the
nature of their export cargoes. The Kong Kong Stevedoring formerly
handled the business of these companies.
2. In mid-November 1950 Chinese Communist government representatives in
Hong Kong purchased 277,000 tons of supplies, including 3,000 tons of
dynamite, all to be shipped to the Chinese mainland before the end of
1950.
3. In mid November 1950 a Chinese Communist representative in Hong Kong
was trying to buy 2,100,000 tons of shipping, in vessels of 500 to
1,000 tons each, for use in Yangtze shipping.

5. The Li.Ta (~ , ) Company*., Shanghai, bouGht 2,500 barrels of lubri-
cating oil in Canton for anipment to Liunar- in late November 1550.
6. Between 1 and 15 November 1950, 3,274 drums of gasoline, 500 drums of
kerosene and 1,348 drums of coal tar were smuggled from Hong Kong and
Macao to Canton and the Chungshan and Kongmoon areas. On 24 November
1950 the SS (1W CHEN arrived in Canton with 500 drums of gasoline which
had been smuggled from Hong gong via fsinchD ang (112=42, 22-21).
