1a On 21 Larch 300 drums of gasoline arrived at Nanning via the Hunan-Kwangsi
railroad. After an immediate inspection by two Communist army officers
and a Soviet, the gasoline was taken to the airfield? The mark 100 was
observed on each drum,.
2. Over 500,000 catties of food are stored in two warehouses in Nanning. One
is at Ch'ing Yun Chieh and is controlled by the Supply and Service Command
of the Kwangsi rilitary District; the other is at 7 and 9 Tao Yuan Road
and is controlled by the Supnlins Control Department of the Nanning Military
Control Commission.
3. Since mid-January bet een twenty and thirty trucks have been constantly
transporting food from these warehouses, and between 1-20 February 180
truck-loads were taken away,
Comment. The mark may indicate the 100 octane rating of the
gasoline.
Comment, It is not known whether the food is being used by
