I. A ?elzow ('152/A t,,,ii.) resident said on 16 January 1951 that inproverlent i
were being made on the jelzovi airfield, that the spur track to the field
eras laic: and that large strips of goods were cleared. There was alle redly
intensive activity by several hundred laborers.

Cottbus (ii 52/A 57) branch o..."fice of the ' auunion-South Firm had a dis-
cussion with the railroad district because of the allocation of special
trains for the transportation of ni ht shift laborers. 1Frora this it was
learned that the firm mould employ gore than 1900 laborers, including 50
specialists who mould work in three shifts. The sae firm had previously
improved tho Cottbus airfield. A concrete runway was to be constructed in
