1. There are about 2,000 well-armed .Ambnneae guerrilla troops on Ceram. Island.
Most of these are former Red and Green Caps; some are ex-desterlin.g fo,23owers.
2. T_sese guerrillas definitely have radio comrmanications with Hollandia.
It is believed that sup-lies reach Ceram from New Guinea.
3. There is only one Ang1.tang Perang Republik Indonesia (APRI) battalion on
Ceram. So far no operations have been launched against the Ambonese
guerrillas who are now concentrated in the mountainous regions of the
island.
