On 20 February 1951, an official telegram wa.s sent by the Reichsbahndire'~tion
1erlin to all its seven subdivisions. The tele.?ram read as follows:
"Beginning imr!ediately, all. serviceable flatcars of cats Tories R, X and
S may not be loaded. All such cars are to underco im-ediate inspection
and ore to he collected in the freight yards ^t Berlin Ru-elsburg and
dispatched via Frankfurt/Oder to 'rest-Litovsk. After 6 p.'., 20 February,
a report on the situation will be co'-?unicated b'- telephone every six
hours to 221?7."
There is no report of any otl^er Reichshahndirektionen being affected by
such an order,
