25X1X 1. the Partisans of Peace in Egypt have formed a preparatory
committee which will organize combat groups to attack British nationals,
The Egyptian group has informed the Partisans of Peace in Syria and Lebanon
of this action,
2. The women"s Section of the committee has transmitted to Marie Tabit, leader
of the Lebanese League of Democratic ?omen, a copy of the committee's "appeal
to the women of Egypt" and has asked her to bring it to the attention of the
women of Syria and Lebenan. The appeal, entitled "Appeal of the Preparatory
Committee for the Popular Women Fighters" is signed by the following Egyptian
feminist leaders:

the Partisans of Peace in Lebanon and Syria are supporting
the Egyptian cause with three lines of activity:
a. A group of lawyers has prepared a juridical study concerning Egypt's
right to denounce the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty of' 936. Their findings are
in favor of Egypt. This study has been printed in 10,000 nine-page
booklets at the expense of the Soviet Legation in Beirut, at the iniative
of Viktor ??ikulin, Soviet Press Attache.
b. A propaganda campaign is being prepared for the boycotting of British
merchandise and British schools in the two countries.
c. A drive has already been started to collect money "for the :id of
victims of English colonization in Egypt0,"

a meeting of the Socialis arty in Egypt which urged armed revolt
against the British if the Egyptian demands concerning the Sudan
were not met,,
