1. Pietro Nenni*e trip behind the Iron Curtain is "believed to have been
made for the purpose of negotiating for the formation of a special
section within the Caminform that would coordinate the activity and
organization of the Socialist Parties in the satellite countries,
particularly in the Sleet. His cover as Director of the World Peace
Counittee was only used as a blind.
2. Nenni, in fact, told the loaders in the Cominform at Budapest about
his Party and his personal experiences and pointed out that he be.
lieved the Party should be the guiding light of other Socialist
groups. The President of the section would be Zdenek Fierlinger,
head of the Ozeohosovakian group, and Nenni would be.the Vice -
President.
The Cominform will doubtlessly create this section to make a more
efficient group of the Western Socialist Parties and will give them
finmacial supporto
