The Defense Minister of Egypt, Mostafa Nosrat, recently discussed
Egyptian purchase of arms in Sweden with the Swedish Defense Minister,
Torsten Nilsson. Nosrat asked that Egyptian orders be given preference
over all other arms orders, including those orders which have been made
by the Swedes themselves. The Swedish Defense Minister informed
Nosrat that his request could not be met, and the Egyptian Defense
Minister left Sweden without commitments of any kind.
