1. In July 1951 a training c" s of the ale ocratic Republic of Vietnam ( V) and
a clwss for anti-poison gas measures (sic) made a sudden move from Kaoping to
Tienpao District;2 900 students of these two classes mere welcomed by district
magistrate RSI Ch rang chien ( , ) and populace.
2.. As of ]J August training classes were continuing studies inside the Liang Chia
( V, ,A- ) Ancestry Temple. Henceforth all instructors will be recruited from
Chinese Communist Army officers and from 3o et personnel. DRV personnel will
handle only administrative matter.

The tV recently statione one motor transport corps under LIU Ching nan
(` { it 4 ) at Kaopenge The corps has 132 trucks with a total capacity of
200 tons. It will transport supplies between Tuientung (113-54, 27--14) and
Indochina via Chinghsi.
The LAY ale recently stationed another motor transp t corps under 1W C'x--, ng
)g at Pinghsiang (1O6-44, 22*06). The corps has 98 trucks wit AL a
total capacity of 150 tons. It will transport supplies between Lungan (107-36,
23--10) and Pinghsiang via Lungehou, and from Nanning to ?inghsiang.

On 7 August the full strength of the 156 Division, 52 Army, former 17 stationed
in the Nanning suburbs, was transferred to Chinghs1, Lungehou and nearby areas
on the Indochina-Kwangsi border to reinforce border defenses and to assist in
extermination of local anti-Communist armed bands,
One regiment of the 73 Division7 assumed garrison duties in the Nanning suburbs,
replacing the 52 Army.
