with double rudder:, assemblies vie re parked in front of the hangars at Cottbus
airfield. The engines and cockpits of the planes were covered w th tarpaulins, (1)

graded arca west of the runway, '0-ork still continued on the ditch south of the
graded area,, Abotit 50 laborers were iayin cement pipes with an outer diameter of
about 101 meters, The walls of the pipes were about 20 cm thick,. 0',ork was being
done from east to we3ta No observations were made indicatin a possiblo extension
of the rummy to the cast or west. (2) Grass drew on the recently graded area in
the eastern section of the field, A settlement northeas of the field evacuated
by German families and subsequently occupied by soviet dependents who built a high

About 9 p,nny on 29 June, a train of 38 flatcars rith sideracks
passed. through Cottbus on route to 1"orst. Each flatcar was loaded
with a large box which was as long as the car, slightly narrowier
than the car, and as high as the 2,11 meter sideracks. Two but. ;es
of different shapes were seen at the front and rear sides of the
