l On 15 June 19 1 the southern section of the IJindenburg Kaserne,
Leipzig (W2 21), seemed to be only pax'ti occupied b troops,
who wore black-bordered blue epaulets , ncluainc' some with air
force insignia. Under the su :ervision of an offfeer with air
force in?sig zia, 32 soldier, wearing black coveralls cleaned
guns without muzzle brakes t mounted on outrigger-type
car'z?i os. * Soldiers were seed slcepln; on rows in a large
garago in the northern section of the Hindenburg Kaserne. In
addit:;.on, 26 canvas,-covered artillery pikes wl-s.:Lci?h were larger

From 20 to 25 J'tine and on 4 July;, about 25 percent of the
windows of the Hindenburg :~: aserne were open in daytime and
lighted at nightfall. Soldiers rearing red and blue epaulets
