This number consisted of 5 Soviets, 11 Japanese and. 34 Chinese. 2. In mid July approximately 200 Soviet=trained Manchurian pilots were sent to South China cities. Approximately 50 pilots were sent to each of the following cities Nanning, Yulin, Swatow and Canton. Lieutenant Colonel Ko-ho-ko--fa senior Soviet Air Force adviser, under whom are 120 Soviet Air Force technicians assisting the Chinese Communists to reconstruct Haikoou and Sanya Airfields and planning to increase Chinese Communists Air Force strength on Hainan. c.
