1. In late July the IC angtung Military District Con a.nd sent a total of
tiienty 1O5rr and 155tiva artillery pieces to Jaopting (1I(. 4f1, 23-5$)
25X1 C for installation there.

2. All these artillery pieces are to be .nmod by Ruusians.
In mid-July 50 artii.1.ery troops of the Chinese Co rtu. 1st 43 Ar t were
selected for intensive artillery training to be given by :ioviet in-
structors at Kochou. (A i* ) in the Chaoyaru (116-35, 23.-17) area.
In early August 1,500 physievally fit man 18 to 25 years old were
recruited in Yangohiang and Yangch'uu. (11L42, 22-08) by the K^s ang-
tung Military District Cor and and organized into the Liang Yang
Militia Detachment, with AO Chian han O `Y ) as the
oom!nanding officer. They are now in training in the Yangehi a g area..
On 5 August, 1,20( Chinese Co?mianist soldiers, wounded in Korea and
rehabilitate at hospitals in the Canton area, were assembled at Tapei
(k1, )L ) Aiii y Hospital in the Canton area, where they were lectured
by I UAA G Yung--shaeng, oorrr-nier of the Chinese Comriun$ st 15 Array G ^oup.1

Corultu-1st authorities In Hainan to Canton from I3aikou by water. They

soon leave by train for combat in Korea..
