1,: On 31 Lay 1951, eight swept-back Jet fighters were parked at
the western end of the runway of Fsrandenburg-Briest airfield,,
Four had a blue stripe on their tail assemblies and two ;lad
the black numbers 610 and 612. Two other fighters had a
light-red stripe on their rudder assemblies and the black
numbers 507 and 503. The seventh aircraft had a dark-red
stripe, and its number could not be seen. The eighth fighter
had a yellow stripe and a black number, either 606 or 603,
The other jet fighters were seen in the middle of the field,

2. At 12:40 p.m. flying Vas started with the eight swept-back
jet. fighter:. It was observed that each plane was boarded by
only one i.'an. Individual local fli.shts over the airfield
were .made at short intervals. Pilots of the aircraft were not
changed. Stunt flying was practiced in a clear sky for ur to
35 minutes. At 2 p.m. the biplane took offaheaded for Branden-
btYrg,:. Flying was discontinued at 4:30 F-m.
