The headq c_rters of one of the brigades of the 1+8 Division vas in Slim ica, and the headquarters of two of the battalions of the brigade sere also in Stra i.ca. The third battalion had Its headquarters in tiovo Selo. The following were officers of the brigade stationed In. "tru caa a. T;ajor Zubic, cormanding officer of the brigade. b. Captain 3oaklc, connandinr; officer of one of the battalions. c. Second Lieutenant VojinovIc, corn ndin.g officer of one of the companies. d. Until December 1950 the 1 brigade, 48 Infantry Division, occupied about 80 barracks at Vndi, new the villages of -Deinice and Vodoca. In December 1950 the unit was roved and the barracks were disassembled, leaving only three concrete stables, about-50 c 12 meters. During February and lbrch 1951 about 20 military trucks took uniforms, boots, a>maaunition, and boxed rifles from t'iravei ra.Ulroad station to the concrete stables in Vadi. There was a guard unit of 35 men in V?ad3. 3. In February 1951 various unidentified infantry and engineer units arrived In Strumica and were housed in ba racl,:s in Struraica and in private homes in the nearby viliaCes. At the same time a vehicle drawn artillery battery and a mountain artillery battery arrived in Strtm ica. The two batteries allegedly came from Nis. The field artillery battery was under the command of an artillery unit which had its headquarters in Velea-Sasino I3rdo. 5. In April 1951 now bunkers and trenches were constructed at Tassi Ba j fr near the villages of Angelci axed 'Gradosorei. In early May 19514 trenches were being constructed along the Bulgarian border near Novo Salo, Novo Kon.jerevo, Susics and Stinkk. 6, In June 1950 a military warehouse about 30 meters long and 20 meters wide was constructed near the road between mice and Ste .ca; the warehouse had two underground . floors and a ground floor.
