Under the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. subsection 552, I am
requesting information or records on the interrogation and depositiort4
of Jozef Swiatio, Polish Secret Police (UB) defector in 1953. In PolancF7
he was the Head of Dept. 10 of UB. I would like to obtain transcript'
of his debriefing and any documents relating to the activities and
crimes of the NKVD (latter KGB) in post-WWII Poland and their control
over the Polish Communist government. Also, I would like to know if
Mr. Swiatlo brought any documents with him from Poland and if so I
would like to have access to them.
If there are any fees for searching for, reviewing, or copying the
