 2. The HPSCI staff.was interested in knowing the current status of
the investigation and in ascertaining if we had uncovered any new oil
. startling information which might' support the -allegation made by Wilson's
attorney that "Wilson could reveal information which would 'shake -the CIA
to its foundation." I explained that we have continued to examine all
identifiable records which show any connection with Edwin Wilson and we
are pursuing any and all leads which develop from the file reviews. We
have interviewed a number of current employees that were known to have had,
some personal/social relationship with Ed Wil'son.' We have, as a result of.
-
the interviews, developed some information which was not previously known

and which might be surfaced by Wilson either in plea bargaining or if he
comes to trial. I explained that in this connection, we have attempted to
compile a listing of all recorded contacts with Uilson after his resignation
from the Agency on 28 February 1971. I pointed out that many of the contacts

We have added to that list and will continue to do so as new, leads are

viewed in their totality they would/could help to support a Wilson

3. A question and answer period followed. Oi.ke-O'Neil was primarily

concerned about the 1e' Wilson relationship and whether or not we
have uncovered any memoranda or other written material which 'would document
the extent and degree of contact between &ley and Wilson. I explained
that the written record ends with the September 1977 period whenialca0

blew the whistle on Wilson. (0,Nell's seeming preoccupation with the
:Aackley connection may be due to the fact that O'Neil was introduced to

who we can interview because of Justice Department interests. Where it
concerns former employees we have focused on key individuals who had not
' been interviewed at the time of the 1977 investigation. Some reinterviewing
has been done when circamstances dictate.. In those cases where we are
aware of Justice Departgent interest, we have cleared our intent to interview
in advance. With presently serving employees, we have spoken with
individuals currently serving in Headquarters and who Opear to have:had
more than a straight social contact, i.e. attended the Wilson annual
July 4th picnic.

information.
AIM He wanted to. contact former Agency employee! Since ....

MOWhome telephone number and/or address.
HPSCI has information that a.current Agency employee namedallt.
as maintained contact with Wilson for an unknown period Of time.
-
Do we have aallint, what is his status, background, etc.
HSPCI has information that Wilson maintained telephone contact
with General Vernon Walters during the period that Walters served as
[MCI - 1973-76. Does the Agency maintain telephone logs and does Executive
Registry have any record of General Walters telephone calls.,
HSPCI has been led to believe that the Honeywell Protective Service
was alerted by Ed Wilson to the Agency's plans to install certain technical/
security equipment in OCI Turner's home in 1977. How did Honeywell get the
contract, were any OS employees who had knowledge of the installation
talking with Wilson. Could we provide some answers (this is a follow-up
to telephone request from Latimer for information on the same subject).
