Ian Fleming was the author of the James Bond novels, and as pertains to this request, served in the British Secret Service during World War 2. I would like any materials concerning Ian Fleining's trip to Washington, D.C. with Admiral John Godfrey in May, 1941, as it pertains to their roles in the setting up in the United States of the office of COI; Coordinator of Information, the predecessor of the Office of Strategic Services run by William Donovan. I would also like any documents on their meetings with Bill Donovan, J. Edgar Hoover, and possibly, President Franldin Roosevelt. I would also like to be advised if there is any documentation on American reaction, i.e., Hoover, Donovan to the trip made by both Fleming and Admiral Godfrey during that time period.
