(b)(1) (b)(3) According to Jose Trinidad Cervantes Davalos, national leader of the National Sinarchist Union (UNS - Union Nacional Sinarquista - rightist, Catholic political organization), the armed group, led by Arturo Gamiz Garcia, which attacked a Mexican Army encampment near Madera, Chihuahua, on 23 September 1965, was the same group which instigated disorders in Chihuahua during the election campaign of President-elect Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, in which the speakers' platform and photographs of Diaz Ordaz were destroyed by fire. 'Field Comment: A report dated 30 April 1964 cited Gamiz, among others, as a principal leader of the anti-Diaz Ordaz demonstrations in Chihuahua on 6 April 1964. Gamiz was arrested for his participation, Was rPleamed on bail, but was charged with destruction of property. (Cf. 4 JUne 1964).
