NOTES
Cypriot Court Sentences Two in Ambassador Davies Case
On 20 May the prosecutor in the trial of three accused
murderers of Ambassador Roger Davies withdrew several charges
which were pending against one of the defendants. Loizos
Savva pleaded guilty to rioting after charges of possession
of arms, manslaughter, destruction, and setting the U.S.
embassy at Nicosia on fire, were dropped. Savva was sen-
tenced to eight months imprisonment, effective 4 February
1977, the date of his arrest. The court imposed three
months in prison on another of the defendants, Khristakis
