Sweden, one of the two neutral
members of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission, has
suggested the NNSC could prove useful if both sides want
to use its services. Switzerland the other neutral
member, concurs.
Spanish officials point out that Spain does not have
diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and thus cannot
make an official demarche.
2. Pyongyang, in a domestic news broadcast on 30
January, reiterated in standard terms its opposition to
UN consideration of the Pueblo case and its determination
to stand fast against US "machinations."
