Approved for Release: 2021/03/25 C00928326 TOP SECRET No Forcign D-103CM SC No. 0630/68 CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY Directorate of Intelligence 28 January 1968 INTELLIGENCE MEMORANDUM Pueblo Sitrep No. 15 (As of 1200 EST) 1. No significant political developments have been reported since Sitrep 14. 2. Military action in the DMZ area declined in the twenty-four hour period ending at 0445 EST 28 January (see Sitrep 13). One ROK soldier was slightly wounded in a brief firefight in the 2nd Infantry Division sector. No other casualties were reported. Nevertheless, the continued high level of North Korean reconnaissance flights over Wonsan and adjacent coastal areas, as well as move- ment and spotting activity north of the DMZ, indi- cates that North Korea continues to maintain a high state of readiness. 3. Task group 70.6 reports the Gidrolog left the group on the morning of the 27th (EST), leaving the Kildin class guided missile destroyer number 983 as the only Soviet escort.
