INTELLIGENCE MEMORANDUM
Pueblo Sitrep No. 13
(As of 1700 EST)
2. After less than two hours' debate today on
the Pueblo crisis, the UN Security Council adjourned
until Monday to permit delegates to consult privately
on how to proceed further in their handling of the
problem.
3. Activity along the DMZ was at a normal level
through the morning of the 27th. There were several
firefights, personnel and vehicle sightings, harass-
ments, and one assault by North Korean infiltrators
against US and ROK forces. One US soldier of the 2nd
Infantry Division was killed when his position was
fired upon by a single intruder. One North Korean,
probably an agent, was killed in the ROK 25th Division
area--in the eastern part of the DMZ--when discovered
hiding in a cave containing a cache of agent supplies.
Another North Korean was round dead during reconnais-
sance by US forces in the US First Corps area, in the
western part of the DMZ.
