Mr, Miller may have been known as: Fred Miller Mr. Miller was born in and served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II, He joined the cargo airline, Flying Tigers after the war (1945) after which he became President and Board Chairman of Air America. He left Air America in 1952 to accept the presidency of U. S. Airlines. If there are any fees for reviewing or copying records, please supply the records to me up to a cost to me of $50.00, which I agree to pay. Beyond that amount please advise me of the cost. Matter The election of Fred A. Miller as president and a dicipctor of S. Airlines was announced yesterday by the New York cer- tificated all-freight carrier. In a sweeping change of management in which all officers and direc- tors resigned, the company also announced the election of Lyle F. O'Rourke as secretary and general counsel. Mr. Miller resigned as presi- dent and board chairman of Air America. a military contract carrier, to accept the presidency of U. S. Airlines, which oper- ates between cities in the North- east and Southeast and also as a contract carrier for the mili- tary. M.r. Miller bad been a di- rector and vice president of the Flying Tiger Line from 1945 to 1948, but resigned to found Air America. Mr. O'Rourke, an at- torney. has. been engaged in the general practice of Jaw in 'Wash. ing:ton and New York.
