This is a final response to your 30 January 2013 Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) request, submitted on behalf of The National Security Archive, for:
1) All reports, analyses, and briefings prepared by the CIA as part of its
Environmental Negotiations Intelligence Update series, prepared within
the CIA Office of Resources, Trade and Technology during the Clinton
Administration (1993-2000).
2) All reports, analyses and memoranda prepared by the same office during the
same time frame dealing in whole or in part with the following issues: global
climate change, biodiversity, toxic materials, deforestation, coal or oil
resources or ocean pollution.
We processed your request in accordance with the FOIA, 5 U.S.C. � 552, as amended,
and the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C. � 431, as amended. Our processing included a
search for records covering the time period 1 January 1993-1 October 1997, which
excludes a portion of your time period which was covered in your earlier request for
information on this subject covering the time period 1997-2001 under request number
F-2008-00831.
We did not locate any records responsive to your request. Although our searches
were reasonably calculated to uncover all relevant documents, and it is highly unlikely
that repeating those searches would change the result, you nevertheless have the legal

right to appeal the finding of no records responsive to your request. As the CIA
Information and Privacy Coordinator, I am the CIA official responsible for this
