Dear Tom:
I sincerely appreciated your letter of May 7th. Unfortunately,
at this time I cannot really make forward commitments for next
November1 attractive as the prospect is of joining you in Bermuda
for the meeting of the Young Presidents' Organisation. In general. I
have had to restrict my speaking engagements, and have concentrated
them pretty largely in this general area, and I am afraid that if I
made a commitment now, I might have to disappoint you at the last
minute,
U, by any chance, next October the situation should ease up
a bit and I was able to get away, you might be willing to take me on
an "ad hoc" rather than on a "previously advertised starter" basis.
I should find it most interesting to meet the group of men which
compose your interesting organisation.
I am sending a copy of this letter to London.
