Sunday, November 16, 2014 9:48 AM [AIN] Re: Kassig video CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED Mark We can try to address your intel questions tmrw. For today we defer to state and nsc. From: Mazzetb, Mark Sent: Sunday, November 16, 2014 09:14 AM To: Subject: Kassig video Hello everyone- (b)(3) (b)(6) (b)(3) Unfortunate news for a Sunday morning. Besides the obvious questions about whether this recent ISIS video is authentic, one question being asked is whether there is any significance to the fact that this alleged Kassig video is so different from the previous beheading videos. There's no staged execution with a prisoner in a jumpsuit, the video quality is really poor, etc. I know it's early, but we're wondering whether there's any indication that ISIS has had to change how it does these videos because of the air campaign Maybe the people producing the videos have been hit or maybe the group has less time to worry about production value of the videos? Any guidance on whether there is any significance to video being quite different than previous ones would be appreciated. Thanks Mark (b)(3) (b)(3) (b)(6) (b)(3) 1 Approved for Release: 2019/10/01 C06380026
