has volunteered the following suggestions OW)
regarding the Italian election: - O*3)
a. For the next month Italian language radio broadcasts
should be made from the United States for the purpose of developing
all aspects of theammtgajawg. 'These broadcasts should emOhasise
the importance of the Marshall Plan to Italy.
b. During the same month an effort should be made to
formulate a regular series of programs featuring prominent Italians.
or Americana of Italian extraction.
c. places the highest priority on the obtaining
of a short movie featuring the Marshall Plan and particularly its (b)(3)
relationship to Italy. He advised that at least ten copies of the
Maid@ should be released simultaneouply in the chief Italian cities
for open air night projection in piasza meetings. The release of
the films should not be later, than 5 April 1948.

The broadcasts should be scheduled sufficiently in advance to,
allow for publicity in the Italian Press.
