1. Is late August of this year two light observatioo-tTpe
aircraft were �hearted 'praying a yellow powder over efveral
dares on the Laotian side of the border (chemical not further
Identified.) After the spraying a number of Laotianswere
treated in the TOM Dooley Refugee Ca sp with signs of stomach
ailments such as vositins and nausea. Several deaths were
attributed to the chemical 'seat. The Pathet Lao were warned
that the 'praying was going to take place and did evacuate
the area for about two weeks. P.4!ter a short time span of two
weeks. the Pallet Lao reoccupied the area. There were
apparently so ill effects on refugee. eosins through the area
after the reoccupation.

Ca mp is located in the town of Bann= Tel and vWLical team
stayed in Pisa, commuting daily.
3. The Thai soldiers did not carry gas masks nor did they
have access to any other types of protective clothing. There were
no OR or anti-aircraft warning systems in the area. In fact
the Thai soldiers in general were In quite � disarray with
regards to their uniforms sad weepoos, and showed a total lack of
discipline. The Thal soldiers carried their weapons everywhere
