during which a yellow powder or mist enveloped a group of 30-40
Democratic Kampucheans somewhere southeast of Phnom Mak Hoeun.
_ 2. The people who entered the area one to two hours after the
attach were cautious and tried not to come in contact with a yellow,
_powder=like residue. seen on the ground. There was a- paint- smell
-in--the-a-real---i-t-was--alscr-d-es-c-r-ibed as like "rancid milk and/or
nicotine." By 72 hours after the attack, all traces of the yellow
residue and odor had disappeared.

3: Symptoms reported by two observers of the attack included
locked jaws, tightening in the chest, and extensive vomiting of blood.
Several victims seemed to be bleeding from the skin, especially from
the eyes and mouth. The skin felt as if it were burned severely and
small blisters formed in 30 minutes to one hour, with death occurring
after one to two hours.

4. The attack victims were given autopsies at the site within
twelve to twenty-four hours after death and prior tci burial. None-
theless, they showed unusual post mortem changes such as engorged
and spongy hearts, lungs, and livers and, in some cases, the
gall bladder had ruptured. The digestive trac s of those given
