MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Lieutenant General Vernon A. Walters
4777?
At the request of Karl Wagner, I telephoned George
Framptom on the staff of Archibald Cox on 26 June 1973. I
advised Mr. Framptom that General Walters planned to take
about a three-week trip out of the country shortly after Mr.
Colby is confirmed. I indicated it is expected that General
Walters would leave about the middle of July and would be
abroad for approximately three weeks. I advised Mr. Frampton'
that we were bringing this to Mr. Cox's attention to .see if this
would be an inconvenience in connection with their ongoing
investigation. Mr. Framptom advised on 28 June 1973 that it
had been determined that this would cause no problem. He
thanked me for being in touch.
