The Directorate of Intelligence will continue to provide geographic and cartographic support to Project Aquiline during the remainder of its development and testing phases and to the extent feasible in consideration of other demands on the available resources. 2. It is my understanding that the manhours and equipment time necessary to support Aquiline in its operational phase would be very substantial, would require major adjustments in geographic and carto- graphic plans and programs, and, in fact, could exceed our means. Accordingly, I feel I must withhold an open-ended commitment pending careful study and clarification by the Aquiline group of the amounts, kinds, and time schedules of geographic and cartographic support required. 3.
