As of 10 December, 9 14IG-15ea, 18 YAK a, 4 twin-engine transports, 12 trainers, and 10 obsolete or damaged planes were at White Cloud Airfield. The field was guarded by one battalion of troops. About 200 ground crew were stationed there. Thirty to fifty Air Force personnel were coming daily from Canton at 8 a.m. for flight or mechanical training and returning at 3 p.m. Flight per- sonnel assigned to White Cloud were living in the CNAC building, V aipo ing- nanlu (i..?qs i -)., Canton. Soviet advisers were living on the second floor of the Oikwan Hotel, Canton. Three to five of these advisers were going daily to White Cloud. 2. Landing strips at Ch0amingshan (; 40 f) and Nantsun (112-54, 22-13) have been under repair since November. They will be auxiliaries for White Cloud and Tienho upon their completion prior to the end of March 1952.
