On 14 Uovember 1951 the Central Committee of the pro-Cominform (Vidali)
Communist?arty of Trieste issued the following directives to its cells:
a.
Courses in Communist Political Culture are being held in Party head-
quarters for teaching the principles of Leninism. It is recommended
that those who-are not well acquainted with these principles attend
the courses,
b.
From 25 November to 2 December 1951 another drive will be held to
secure signatures for peace. All members of the. Party are invited
to participate.
c.
On 15 November, collections for Italian flood victim will begin.

arrangements have already been made to forward your contributions to
the Conmlunistcenter in Piazza Ponterosso under the auspices of
Soliderieta Demoeratiea. The Christian Democrats are receiving credit
for these donations. This i u t cease.
d. Merchants, dealers, artisans and similar categories of workers should
be approached by appropriate Party members and offered help in compil-
ing business records, filing tax returns and sfm_ilar declarations which
they must submit to the fiscal authorities each year. Such assistance
should be given without charge in order to establish good will and :win
their support for the Party.
e. All members of the Party should immediate)
y loin the Workers' Cooperative
(Cooperative Operate) and endeavor to develop Party sympathies among the
members in order to keep the Workers' Cooperative from falling into the
hands of the Fascists.
f. All members are urged to bring their back work up to date; to turn In
old membership cards for new ones and make a definite effort to recruit
new members in order to strengthen Party ranks.

g. On 19 November a conference will be held by Trieste delegates to
the. World Peace Conference in Vienna. Every cell is invited to send
delegates.
h. This year no packages or gifts will be prepared or distributed for
the Children's Christmas as in past years. The women must not be
bothered with knitting socks and other garments. There will be a
banquet at the Kralich Circle where cookies, candy and fruit will
be distributed. It is expected that ECA will invite displaced persons
to a party. The Comitato Triestinol will also give a Christmas
party and the Party may join that group. The Asaoaiazione Partigiazt
del Territorio Libero di Trieste (Partisans Association of the Free
Territory of Trieste) must invite the families of soldiers during
the holiday season.
