A delegation of the Paris-based International Union of Lawyers
will visit Argentina March 12-18 to raise the issue of the
status and welfare of lawyers who have either disappeared or
who are being held under executive detention. Argentina thus
continues to feel pressure from both national and international
special interest groups located in Western Europe. TheEUropean
Community as a whole has also expressed its concern over the
Zack of protection for foreign nationals and over the general
human rights situation in Argentina.
