current leadership, its relationship with the military services,
factors influencing its decisions, and the extent of its control of
government activities, including in the economic area.

intentions in respect to charges of past human rights violations.
14. Details about Argentine extremist groups, right and leftist, in
Argentina and abroad, particularly the Montoneros. Information on
their leadership, membership, plans and objectives, and sources of
support. Government's ability to counter extremist activity.
ECONOMIC AFFAIRS
16. The effectiveness of government economic policies in dealing with
current problems. The impact on the domestic economy and planning
of economic measures taken because of the Falkland Islands crisis.
17. Economic performance, both agricultural and industrial;
identification of factors limiting or stimulating production,
including the effect of government programs and policies; the
ability to sustain exports. The progress and effects of the
government's privatization program.

the status of major projects such as the Yacyreta hydroelectric

Argentine appraisal of opposing capabilities.

modernization efforts; morale and level of training of military
