1. A new radio station is being constructed near the Yana (XL-5564) railroad
station on the Sofia Karlovo railroad lineo1 Beside this government civil
radio station, a central military radio station is also being constructed.
The grounds where the radio stations are located measure approximately one
square kilometer; they are surrounded by a fence and are strongly guarded.
The workers live in the barracks within the above-u;entionedarea and do
not leave the grounds,
29 The military radio station, which is almost completed, has wooden antenna
poles and one radar installation. The principal building of the civil radio
station has been completed, and four huge iron antenna towers, placed in
a north-south direction, are being mounted.
3, Material for this "huge" radio station was purchased in the Soviet Union,
and all construction is being carried out under the direction of Soviet
specialists. The antennae are being installed by Soviet technicians.
