1. The October 1952 quota of tanks to be yepai.red at the tank repair shop in
Wuensdorf was set at 19 T-34/85 tanks.

3. As most of the repaired tanks are loaded onto trains at night the outgoing
shipments could not be observed. departu X1

inspected by a VP detail. on the evening of 13 November and were no longer on
25X1 the premises of the repair shop the following morning. The tanks were painted
dark green and had a roughened surface.2
4. On 17 October, the ninety-fifth tank was under. overhaul and, on 1.2 tlovenber,
25X1 the one-hundred-and-fifth tank.3
5. On 12 November, about 78 tanks and 10 motorcycles were counted in the repair
25X1 shop. Of the tanks, about 36 had been comp) cued, 20 were under repair, 22 were
still to bo repaired. Of the motorcycles, about 60 sidecar motorcycles were
25X1 completed, 18 under repair and 24 still to be repaired.
6. About 2 to 3 carloads with spare parts, new and overhauled tank engines, bogie
wheels, tracks and other spare parts, arrived at the depot daily. The new tank

7. Security measures at the depot were intensified. Supervisors and for-men had

to sign a document indicating thct all. information on wor' ing procedures, drawings
and other ' written naterial wos to be kept in saes and ,to be taken out and closed
up again p-.rsonal:3y.
From 1 to 26 Octobc- 1952, 17 T,-34/35 tanks arrived at the depot for . general
overhaul. Fifteen of these were completed until 25 October '952.
9. During the procedure, factory new or completely overhauled engines were
25X1 installed and factory-- ?ew tracks were fitted out. Bushings for the balancing
device were made of bronze. The spare: bushings whloh ware heini inrtuu1ed
were made of gray cast iron which easily breaks. T for

25X1 brake bands which are to have a tensile strength of 75 to 85 kilogram are
40.-cm wide steel shuts, 2.5 mr. thick. The brake blocks are 12 mm thick,
130 mm long and /`0 cm wide and are fitted to the brake bands at 20 mm intervals.
1C, The heating installation in building No 52b has a maximum of 5 million thermal
units. As, however, 12 milli,-'n thermal units are required, it is planned to
25X1 construct a modern heating installation with two large high-pressure boilers
for a total of 1/+ mill ion thermal units,
